Current Project:
OHV Rule

In August 2010, Snowlands Network actively partnered with Winter Wildlands Alliance and ninety other environmental organizations to petition the Forest Service to amend the 2005 Travel Management Rule to require active management review of snowmobile usage on national forests.  Since 2005, the rule has exempted over-snow-vehicles from Forest Service travel management.

Although the petition was denied, Snowlands Network continues to participate in efforts by Winter Wildlands Alliance to overturn the OHV Rule and require national forests to engage in winter travel management planning.
